Escaping Elba

After creating Saint Helena, and still so very taken by the history of Napoleon Bonaparte’s dramatic exiles, I created a second painting inspired by the same subject. This scene is what I envision as Napoleon’s devastating beautiful view while leaving Elba to make his attempt at regaining control of France.
